Come look with new eyes... Come listen with new ears...

I awoke Christmas Eve to a chorus being sung into my heart... one which gave me hope and filled me with joy~ Holy Spirit speaks to me how He best knows I receive from Him straight to my heart. Funny thing is that I thought the chorus was from a Christmas Carol... but I'm not sure it is...

"Hark the heaven's angels sing,
a new King born today,
and now I live forevermore because of Christmas day..."

Is that from a Christmas carol?

(I actually have never really liked Christmas day... it carried so many other pressures and no real enjoyment but this year Abba wanted me to look with new eyes.. therefore meant doing things a little different yet finding so much more... this song was one coat of the revelation God gave me this Christmas... He is truly faithful to us!)

My spirit began to contemplate and these words flowed forth...

'Can you hear the song from heaven, singing all glory all honor all power be unto the Lamb...
I can hear the sound throughout every nation..
Glory Honor Power be unto His name.'

Contemplating this, how beautiful, the nations joining with the angels and heavenly hosts singing a song of praise and honor to our King who once came as a baby to speak of His love and the love of the Father to us... dying upon a cross... defeating the works of sin and death... conquering the grave... rising again... revealing His glorified body risen walking the earth to speak of His victory to His beloved ones... then ascending to heaven where He is now seated beside Abba... sending the Holy SPirit so that we have a divine Helper Counsellor Strength who is God Himself... then once more our King is returning for the most extravagant finale ever to be seen before... this is a song that is filled with all of these truths and promises and that is why to me it is such a beautiful hope producing song that we join together with heaven to sing a song of love to our King calling Him to come... come and do what He longs to do... make all the wrong things right and establish His Kingdom here on earth... and walk amongst us again.

This Christmas day was very humble... yet like I said God was teaching me so much... and in the undistinguished appearance of it all I found it to be quiet beautiful... possibly even the best one yet.

Having breakfast with the friends I live with, opening our one flat gift together and moving on to read the Christmas story in both english and german. We read from Isaiah 9 and Luke 2:1-40. We shared what spoke to us the most in hearing this precious news... it was funny as some parts for me was if I had never read them before and was new for my ears to hear... perhaps this is true... that God wanted me to hear it anew... new eyes and new ears to hear of His Christmas. I shared about how the Shepherds... how our God could have chosen anyone to come and proclaim this good news to, but He chose those who were nameless faceless humble people... the Angel of the Lord appeared to them the glory of the Lord shone around them... speaking of the Messiah and where they could find Him... and if that isn't beautiful enough a great company of heavenly host appeared with the angel and had a time of worship and praise with them unto the King... that which is about to be seen in magnitude was seen in a small portion this night... I love our God I love His enduring steadfastness seen throughout the ages. Beautiful.

As different ones filtered into rooms for rest or stretched out upon the couch... I sat, the cool breeze surrounded me pushing back the warmth of the day, and listened to what had been poured into my heart filling the pages of this journal I had begun a year ago.

Here I ponder...

The culmination of the Ages...
The unifying of all of life's stories...
The sound of rushing mighty wind breathing upon the dry bones...
The eternal Word bringing forth His bride from the nations...
Resounding with the glory of their Maker, their Beloved.
Arising to meet Him as the earth shakes with violence and the face of many grow pale...
