Eternal Weight of Glory

“While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:18

To look beyond the here and now, to see through the eyes of our heavenly Father, to know the hope to which His Beloved Son has called us into, to walk in a way that speaks of another Kingdom an eternal Kingdom, to know that though our earthly tent is being destroyed but that we have a building from God- a house not made with hands- eternal in the heavens.

Yes, we who are in these tents groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven. We groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us His precious Spirit as a guarantee, so we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we are walking by faith, by a realization of things hoped for and a confidence of things which are yet seen... we are not walking by sight of the things which we can see here and now, those temporal things which are passing away, but we lift our gaze setting our heart upon our true reality one of another Kingdom one of eternity one of Glory and Love forevermore ruling and reigning with our Maker our Husband... seated with our Father of glory, seated with our Beloved Bridegroom Jesus Christ. This is why we set our hearts to be well pleasing to Him.

We were once blinded and in complete darkness, but the light of the gospel the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, has shone upon our hearts. It is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone into our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of His Son our Beloved Saviour, that is Jesus Christ. Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward body is perishing, yet our inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

This has been my ponderings of late... our eternal glory... and therefore my heart of gratitude to my King.
